MEET MAUREEN
Hello, and welcome to my little corner of the world.

Have you ever felt that you were born to do something else? Yet, you've tried other conventional methods because it was the norm. But life kept pulling you in another direction until you stopped ignoring it and finally followed your passion. That's what photography is for me. It’s my life’s passion.  

BEGINNING THE JOURNEY
I was born in Germany and raised in the United States since I was four. I caught the travel bug early in life by spending many summer holidays visiting my relatives in Germany, exploring neighboring European countries, and sampling their delicious local cuisines. When I was twelve, I picked up my first camera, and I haven’t put a camera down since. At fourteen, I took my first photography class, where I truly loved this visual art form. 

MOVE TO ASIA
After graduating from university with a degree in business administration specializing in marketing, I went to Australia, where I worked as a market researcher. Once I returned to the US, I continued my marketing career for many years. I then moved to Asia with my family and have lived in Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, and Singapore for almost twenty years. My curiosity and enthusiasm for experiencing new cultures and meeting new people have led me to visit over twenty countries and counting. I truly am an explorer at heart.

MY PASSION FOR PHOTOGRAPHY
As a graduate of the Photography Institute, I continued my passion for photography while pushing the boundaries of my creativity. My camera has become one of my life’s companions accompanying me on my journey. I continue to document my life, especially my travels, through my camera’s lens, still searching for those unique shots that capture those special moments in time. I enjoy sharing my travel experiences and love of good food by writing my blog. I hope my travel stories will entice others to explore the less traveled roads, try new cuisines, and embark on unique adventures while making new local friends.
